WELCOME
Since our inception in August 1994 Indoor Netball at DSLC has grown to now be one of the premier competitions in the Hills area. Our standard size courts (unique at the time of introduction) allow us to offer weekly, full court competitions played according to the rules and regulations of Australia Netball.
At a time when Indoor Netball was exclusively being played in smaller, netted courts we offered the netball community the ability to play “outdoor” netball, indoors, all year round. A slightly different format (two twenty minute halves) was devised with the aim of jointly maximising the amount of play with court usage.
DSLC run back-to-back competitions throughout the year each lasting 17-20 weeks (plus semi finals and finals). Where team numbers permit, teams are graded to ensure play is as fair as possible.
There are several offerings for netballers: ladies daytime, ladies night time, mixed and juniors. More options will be coming in the near future so keep your eye on this page.
LADIES
We currently offer a daytime competition on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Our crèche operates during competition times and at present; the children of our players are looked after free of charge while mums play.
Night time competitions run on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and have grown to be some of the premier competitions in the area. Some teams have played since we commenced over 15 years ago.
Our long term goal is to grow these offerings to meet ever increasing market demands.
MIXED
A traditional indoor competition is run for mixed adult teams on Tuesday and Thursday nights in the netted courts. The format is two 15 minute halves with a maximum of one male allowed per third. This fast and furious competition is a quickly growing component of our business and is attracting a wide variety of teams.
JUNIORS
Our Junior competition runs for 8yrs through to 15yrs. The summer competitions run on Fridays after school and Saturday mornings. We hope to offer additional days as court space becomes available.
We play both a summer and winter competition. Semi Finals and Finals are played over two weeks at no extra cost. Semi Finals – 1 v 4 & 2 v 3, winners go straight through to the Final the following week.
Depending upon the number of teams in each division, the competition may be split into an “A” and a “B” so two series of semis/finals can be run. Notice of this will be given to all teams affected in the final weeks of competition rounds. This is simply done to increase the chances of more teams to play in a Final.
8 prizes are given for each team in the Final. Additional prizes can be purchased at cost price.
The number of teams in each competition fluctuates each term with our biggest in the “off season” when outdoor netball takes a break. Many teams use this time to have a break from the strict rules of graded, outdoor netball and allow the children to play purely for the fun of it. Others use our competition as a time to build skills for the upcoming year. Whatever the reason, Friday afternoons are a time for many to end the week with a little bit of exercise and a lot of fun.
FEES
Fees are twofold:
Team Registration $40, due when registering. Please note – no player insurance.
Game fees for Ladies & Mixed – per team due weekly or as a lump sum, prior to play in Week 2.
Game fees for Juniors – per team due as a lump sum, prior to play in Week 2.

UMPIRES
Umpires are an integral part of any competition and we are fortunate to have a team of committed, dedicated professionals who allow us to run the competitions we do. We are forever grateful!!
